What drives me
I've always gravitated toward science โ especially anything connected to health. Dentistry caught my attention because it's hands-on, creative, and deeply personal. Helping someone feel confident in their smile is a kind of care that stays with them.
This year I'm taking chemistry, and it's changed how I think about the dental topics I write about each week. Understanding ions, pH, and chemical bonding gives me a deeper lens on enamel, cavities, and the science behind everyday oral health.
Beyond the classroom
- First Chair Violin School orchestra โ eight years of performance and discipline
- Varsity Slow-Pitch Softball Teamwork and competition at the varsity level
- Destination Imagination 8 years ยท 5ร Global Finalist ยท 10th worldwide in improv
- Sikh Advocacy Day Civic engagement with state legislators on inclusive education
- Religious School Volunteer Weekly โ teaching Punjabi, Sikh history, and core academics
Featured project
Care Collective
I founded Care Collective to address a gap I kept noticing โ families who want good oral health but can't always afford basic supplies. We organize donation drives for toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and educational materials, then distribute them through community partners.
It's my way of connecting the science I learn with the service I believe in. Dentistry isn't just a career I'm exploring โ it's a responsibility to the communities around me.
